The 2020 Explorer has been completely redesigned from top to bottom, with two new available trims; a hybrid and the all-new Explorer ST, featuring 400 horsepower and 415 lb.-torque.
Built for the active lifestyle, the 2020 Explorer has seating for up to seven and more cargo space than ever before for kids, dogs, sports or camping equipment, and just about everything else needed.
Interior improvements include:
- Larger, more comfortable seats
- E-Z Entry second-row seating - easily allow passengers to get in and out with the push of a button
- Available third-row PowerFold® seats
- Availalble 10.1" LCD portrait touchscreen
Performance-wise, there are now two powertrain options:
- 2.3L EcoBoost 4-Cylinder which produces 300 horsepower
- 3.9L Ecoboost V6, allowing you to tow up to 5,600lbs, a 12% increase over the 2019 model plus the addition of up to seven drive modes which adjust how your vehicle drives based on terrain type and road condition.
The 2020 Explorer now comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360, a suite of safety technology such as Blind Spot Information System and Pre-Collision Assist.
