2015 Ford Edge: All new
Now in its second generation, the 2015 Ford Edge is all new, and looking mighty sharp both inside and out.

Always an attractive SUV, the Edge now has an all-new look with a family-derived front grille and a brand new rear as well. The rounded, smooth shape remains almost the same, but a certain amount of charm and “edge” was added to the overall look, and it’s sure to be a head-turner.

With four models available, there is a 2015 Ford Edge for everyone. From the SE to the dynamic and fast-looking Sport model, the new Edge is all about practical fun on the road, with a touch of attitude.

There are three engines to choose from, including two new EcoBoost mills that are sure to please. In the SE, SEL and Titanium models, you can choose between a twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0L EcoBoost engine that produces 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. Power is handled via a 6-speed SelectShift automatic with paddle shifters and can be sent to the front or all wheels, depending on drivetrain selection. Then there’s the 3.5L V6 mill that produces 280 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. Transmission and drivetrain options are the same as with the EcoBoost engine.

There is also the 2015 Ford Edge Sport which features intelligent AWD as standard, as well as a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 twin-turbocharged engine that pushes out 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. The same 6-speed automatic transmission handles all the extra power.

There’s more to the 2015 Ford Edge than just its engine choices though, as Ford has been known to do, the Edge is loaded with technological goodies such as an available Enhanced Active Park Assist system, available Foot-Activated Hands-Free Power Liftgate (as seen on the Ford Escape first), lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and of course available SYNC with MyFord Touch.

As if that wasn’t enough, the 2015 Ford Edge also offers Class II hitch capabilities, which means your city-slicker SUV can double as a weekend cottage warrior by towing up to 3,500lbs with a max tongue load of 350 lbs. The world is your oyster in the brand new Edge.

With seating for five and over 1,000 litres of cargo space even with all those seats full, your 2015 Ford Edge is truly built for anything life throws your way – and it’ll do it in style, too.
